I originally put this in the General section of the site but believe it belongs here -- the site above has the service manuals (for free) for any GM car. Just select the year, make, model -- bam (diagrams/ charts included).
Hope this helps everyone!
I don't know how you got into that but that's the exact system that GM techs access at shops.
This is really great!! this will be very helpful information for us living in asian country.
Were sourcing all the parts fr abroad,it would be a great help if you can include also all the corresponding GM part numbers of listed assembly parts (electronic -relay ,sensors alternator etc, electrical ,and mechanical section ) for a chevrolet cavalier 96.

If you have a firewall/ router make sure you allow access to port 9001. Otherwise, it will not work.
The standard HTTP port is 80, this one uses the uncommon 9001.
how did you find that, anyway? i'm just wondering if there's a site it's linked from which actually advertises its existance and accessibility? i know lots of people have looked for that info online and had no luck.
i'm also curious if there's any way to find anything newer than 02. if all that is available, why not all 02-04's as well? (02 list is only partial)
but still, great find and thanks!

I checked that site and it only lists a Trailblazer for 2002 Chevy vehicles. What I really need is a Haynes or Chilton service manual for a 2002 Cavalier. I bought it used and there's not even a scheduled maintenance book that came with it.
I'm getting frustrated with places like AutoZone and Borders books who can't even seem to order one for that model year. eBay wasn't much help on an initial search. I'd rather not spend $150 for a genuine GM service manual since it's my daughter's car and all I want to do is keep it properly maintained for her.
Anyone know where I can get a manual for this car???
yes like everyone said it would be helpfull if it went to 04 but ill keep it in favorites and wait for the 04 stuff (hopefully not to long)
This is a copy of what GM's tech website used to host...
$5 says it's not gonna stay online long (since we're all now accessing it again)...
So download what you need NOW

its good and all but it only goes up to 02's years what about the 03 and so on?
they haven't released any kind of service manual for 2002 models of cav/fire. thats why autozone wont order one for you. some say to buy a manual for a 2000 model, but i wouldn't chance any minut changes made from then to 02. example: somebody showed install pics and process of the B&M shift plus, diagram with the wire harness to the tranny, i dont remember what year that was, but its nothing like whats under my hood. so maybe just wait it out and see, surely they'll release an edition for our models someday.
