I have a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.4L automatic convertible. I got LED headlights for free-- knowing that daytime running lights (DRLs) may not work with LED headlamp bulbs. (DRLs work with LED bulbs on my 2007 Chevy Equinox so I was hopeful.) The new LED headlights work for both low-beams (9006) and high beams (9005), and the high-beam indicator works. However, the DRLs don't work nor does the dashboard's DRL indicator shine. I tried swapping the halogen bulbs back into the inner high-beam sockets (because DRLs are dimmed high-beams), but the DRLs still don't work (and there is no DRL indicator light).
I don't know for certain that the DRLs were working before I swapped in LED bulbs (because it's not something I check or think about) but I guess they were working and that the LED bulbs burnt-out the DRL relay or something.
Does anybody know where the DRL relay is located? It's not in either fuse box (drivers side of dash, or driver's side under the hood).
Also, if anybody knows of a way to make DRLs work with LED bulbs, please let me know.
