Hi, newbie here. I recently purchased a 2004 Cavalier that CarFax says was once a fleet vehicle. In the trunk I've found a cage wall bolted into place behind the rear seats and no sign of the release straps. I'm assuming it was some sort of security feature and I'm wondering if anybody else here as seen this. I'm hoping the mod didn't destroy anything and I can just buy a replacement strap mechanism and get it installed after removing the cage.

Have you ever figured it out if that's a mod? It might be helpful if you upload some pics.
