Has anyone ever replaced one of these things on the V5 AC compressor? I have an otherwise working AC system but the compressor is leaking from this control valve. The parts stores all sell this thing for about $50 or so but I cannot find anyone or anything online about how to replace it.

I'm not sure what a V5 compressor or control valve is or what year your car is, but the compressor leaked on one of my 1996 2.4L Cav convertibles. I'm a big DIY guy but when it comes to AC, I have my trusted mechanic deal with it since they have to empty the system and vacuum it out, etc. (and I don't have that equipment). He told me to buy a new compressor, dryer, etc. and that he'd install it.
