I've got a 97 z24 5 speed with the 2.4 and a couple syncros are going out. However I'm not sure what tranny I need. Do I need to find a 96-99 z24/sunfire with the 2.4 for it to be compatible because of the bell housing? Also do junkyards keep track of what motor was in the car they pulled one out of? Thanks in advance.
Some were Isuzu and some were Getrag... Find the 8 digit casting number 97107316 for this part somewhere on the b.h. or on the case or find MK7 MJ1 on the donor car's service parts sticker on the spare tire cover.
