Hi all,
I have a Pontiac Sunfire 2003
2.2L Ectotec
What I've done so far:
Throttle body cleaned replaced IAC, MAP sensor, Fuel filter, Fuel pressure regulator.
When I check fuel pressure I get 50psi.
Spark plugs were changed
No vacuum leaks.
I'm at a loss....
Have you tried pulling the battery cable for a few minutes to reset the stored data in the PCM? Compression test?
"In Oldskool we trust"
Yes, I did a reset, didn't work.
How do I do a compression test on an Ecotec??
I did a compression test today and came out with 149 on all 4 cylinders with dry test.
But I came out with only 150 wet again all 4 cylinders. Did that come out right?? I put a cap full of oil in each cylinder when I ran the test...
Is your check engine light on?
What rpm does it sit at?

No check engine light
When I'm at the stop light it sits at around 500 or 600 rpm
Update:
Car is stumbling more when I stop, today on my way to work it almost concked out on me...
It is an auto right? How is the fluid level?
I know a problem in the older cavaliers was a torque converter locking solenoid would start to go, causing bad idle in gear from it trying to lock the converter. Could be a problem with that.
