I grabbed an Ecotec engine today and was hoping one of the pros could help me pinpoint what vehicle the engine came from. I can supply pictures, casting numbers or whatever it takes.
It has 04 casted in a couple spots so I believe it to be an 04 or 05 engine. Looks like an L61 best I can tell other than it had the power steering block off plate and no hex for power steering in the intake cam.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There were a few different rocker arms offered.. if you read the gm build book it is noted there... also... I was not aware that the 04 year offered electric power steering as an option.. I will have to look in the book to see.... also possible that the head is a newer head on a 04 block I guess...
