Hey guys, I have a 2004 Cavalier LS Sport and I have been having this problem for a while. I usually happens when I am backing out of a parking spot and my wheel is cut, I will shift from reverse to drive and hit the gas while turning my wheel and the car will stall and die. I thought it was a fuel problem for a while and I did have a leaking fuel pressure regulator which I replaced and that seemed to help for a while but now it's back. Any ideas, or any other info I can give to help?
Thought of something else: Sometimes, if it doesn't die, it will stutter and jerk a little and the service, abs, and trac light come on. Not the CEL though. I saw another thread with a similar problem but no one ever replied. Please, has anyone dealt with this?
When mine had those lights come on it was the abs sensor (i beleive) wiring. Its known on these cars for the wiring to split causing this problem irreguarly. Mine never died though. You can get the pigtail from oreillys and then splice it in. Usually its the driver side that breaks. That will solve that problem...dont know about the stalling though.
