Cavalier in Limp Mode and P0341 and P0335 then go away

I have a 96 Cavalier 2.2L and today when i started it and reversed out of the driveway , the shut off as soon as i put it in drive. it was very difficult to start, it would start and sputter as soon as i gave it a little gas and turn off as soon as it was in Drive (automatic). Engine light came on and the codes were p0341 and p0335, i looked it up and its the Crank position sensor and Cam sensor Problem. How will i know which one went bad? they couldn't bot go at the same time, right?

Also on a side note, i left the car for about an hour, came back and it started right up, no issues at all and the engine light went away on its own. If anyone can help i would appreciate it, a new Crank position sensor is $155 from my parts store and don't want to change it if its just a bad connection or something.

I'm having the same problem on my 98 cavalier. Codes are p0335 and p0341. Both sensors have been replaced and I've also done plugs air filter and alternator. I've also cleaned out the throttle body with carb cleaner. The car starts fine but after a few minutes the rpms will drop and it sputters and bucks pretty hard. Sometimes it will even backfire out of the exhaust. Once it shuts off it starts up no problems but will stall out again.

Also I only paid around 20 bucks for my Crank sensor I don't see why it's so expensive for you. Any help would be much appreciated!

Our cars don't have a limp mode.

I would check wiring. Might want to ohm it.

Solved my problem. Bad connector at the crankshaft position sensor.
