The reverse lights in my 5 speed 2005 cav went out so i searched the threads for possible solutions..All signs pointed towards my reverse light switch so i went ahead and replaced it, but then my turn signals stopped working in addition to the fact that the reverse lights were still out..I have swapped bulbs and aside from returning the switch for a new one, i am stumped as to what it could be. I still have hazards working on all four corners and headlights work fine too. When I activate the turn signals, nothing happens (no clicking or engagement sounds) regardless of how hard or which direction i press. Also, the high beams work as well, so im pretty sure its not the combination switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It turns out that putting the car into reverse with bulbs reverse light bulbs in causes the turn signal fuse to blow immediately. After removing the bulbs and replacing the fuse, the blinkers work fine, but still not reverse lights
