Just bought a new car, as my sunfire is in mid-sunfire/cav front end swap I needed a DD.
I found a great deal, bought a running 2001 4 Dr Cav with a 2200(same engine as my sunfire), with 311k miles (a lot i know) BUT it was 300 bucks LOL.
So gives me some maintenance advice,
I know I need brakes, rotors, struts, tires, plugs, wires, oil/filter change, new fuel filter, check the free-on(AC doesnt work but Heater does), and check all the fuses throughout the car.
Man...is this forum dead now?
Any better auto forums anyone can rec. if this one has bit the dust? I used to have MULTI replies within hrs.
Well... you kinda listed most of the important things to check..
Have a nice day.
Might want to peek at the tie rods, and cv boots. Air filter, lights, test the antifreeze for its protection level
I know this is no help at all, but I'd dump the Sunfire. God those things are ugly lol. Cavaliers aren't the most beautiful car either unless you put some mods on em but they look 100 times better than those abortion sunfires =)
I'd sell both and get a better Cav. Sorry, just goofin around but I'm also half serious..
