Problem burning oil

So i put on a diffrent valve cover because i had been polishing it. Im burning oil now and am not sure why, so i took it back off and three of the vent ports for the crankcase are pluged up with what looks like burnt oil. Looks like black crystallized stuff, any ideas? it dose smoke greyish smoke and uses about a quart every 70 miles. (updates) I have ritch looking spark plugs, i have good compression, and the stem at the top of the valve cover is sucking in air not blowing out.

Clean up any clogs, replace your PCV valve too or at least check to see if it's not clogged or stuck itself. You can clean out an old sticky PCV valve, but they are cheap enough that I just replace them. These are just pieces of plastic with a tiny metal spring and ball that is exposed to hot engine temp and crankcase gases, so they should just be replaced and not worry about them.

A clogged up PCV system can cause oil to seep out of every seam it can. Sometimes you don't do any major damage to the seals and gaskets, but it can quickly blow out valve and crank seals as well. So go check on that ASAP.

i came to the idea that my valve cover gasket is leaking oil into my crank vents causing oil to get sent to the vent stem to the intake charge and getting burned. Their was oil in my intake manifold.
