I have a 04 sunfire eco with a auto trans trying to find a diagram of the evap system but every search i came up with led me to a dead end ... i have had the famous p0440 code come up but cant figure it out bought a new gas cap and also changed out purge selonoid with no changes to the code i did however find a small crack in the hose that leads from the intake to the fuel pressure vegulator so i fixed that... i also found a loose piece that the evap line from the purge solenoid to the intake manifold, where the hose goes into the manifold that piece has some play where it goes down into the maifold but i dont know if that is where my leak is coming from... any help would be appreciated ...thanks

Best bet is to take it to someone and get the evap system smoked. Thats probably the only way your going to find the leak.
