I have a 85 Sunbird LE. 1.8 OHC. when I g to start it I have to turn the key 3 times to the on position count to 4 turn it off and then on the 4th time turn it all the way to crank and it starts. It runs ok, with lots of power and no misses until it reaches about 120. 15-20 minutes later, at that time it will start to miss. As if it had a bad plug. I have replaced the spark plug, wires and the fuel pump. Any thoughts what it could be? This car has 83K and almost everything has been replaced.
Thank you

I wish you would have put this over in the 1st gen forum but thats ok.We can better assist you and with all of us on that side can narrow it down.Anyway I am super tired and just on thoughts it could be your ignition module control, under distributor cap,or egr valve is sticking or maybe even the map sensor on the firewall close to the tbi (actually behind) with one vac line and a three plug in terminal.Just some quick checks or tries right now.I would just disconnect the EGR vacumm line and see if the problem goes away.IF it does this need to be removed and cleaned and if you can check it with a vacumm pump to see if it holds pressure.Clean it with carb cleaner and tooth brush to remove the carbon.I am keeping this short due to tiredness kicking me hard. And come over to the first gen forum and share your car pics and or stories about it.Hope this help and I will elaborate more when I am not dead tired.Ok
