hey guys..i just bought a 2000 Z, 2.4 5 speed, motor has been changed and somebody took the evap canister off it.. the car wont idle, and if you hold the throttle at about a grand or so, the revs go up and down very quickly, and if your driving it and you dont have it at around half throttle or more, its works like complete garbage, and theres a HUGE dead spot in it where the car just bogs, so its obviously loading up with fuel... my question is do i need evap, or can i plug it off so theres no vaccum leak or anythign and it will be OK? its RETARDEDLY hard on gas too, like 50 bucks to go 200 Kms... ideas?

i would look more at a TPS fault than anyhting first. Make sure someone didnt just leave the vac line to the EVAP open however.
