Just got a repaired prior salvage 04 cavalier LS Sport 4 Dr the other day. Runs and drives great but has some lights on.
I hooked up my OTC 3108 code reader and pulled 3 codes off of it.
PO 130 (HO2S Circuit Sensor 1)
PO 340 (CMP Sensor Circuit Low Input)
PO 442 (Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Small Leak Detected)
So today I went and pulled the coil pack/ICM assembly and evap solenoid off of my wrecked 05 Cavalier LS 2 Dr. I decided to wait and fix the oxygen sensor for a later date. Cleared all codes with the OTC 3108. Started and shut off car about 3-4 times. Service light, ABS light and Track Off lights still on. Hooked up code reader again and car shows no codes stored. So I went back home from where car is located (bout 7 miles give or take a couple). Hooked up code reader again and still no codes. But all 3 lights still on. Is there other codes that my code reader cannot read? Or could the instrument panel be malfunctioning?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is this a actual scanner or a quick little code reader? sound to me like you have a abs code stored and you dont have a actual scan tool to read it. most likely a torn abs harness or bad front wheel speed sensor
It's just a code reader.
This one here...
OTC 3108
Will have to check the speed sensors out after bit.
Does the computer use the wheel speed sensors to control the speedometer as well? Or is there another speed sensor in transmission for that?
Nope that wont read ABS Codes. speedo uses speed sensor on transmission
