Ok so i just installed a new ignition switch and the screws on it are tiny tiny. They are like a really small torx. Does anyone know what the tool is i have to use on them? maybe something like an e-torx 4mm or something? Or would i have to go thru GM to get a special tool.
a small standard socket will fit them and not damage them, not that much force is required. Something like 5/32" or somthing.
ok cool i will try it out...thanks
The correct tool for a GM Ignition switch screw is etorx E4
HAHAHAHAHA I used a dremel tool to put a slot in them and I used a flat screwdriver! LMAO!! Anywho... did your starter go too? My switch burned up, and at the same time my starter solenoid messed up too, just changed that starter in June! Coincidence?
i used a 4mm or a 5mm socket, came right off
