Mon myhe car is a 98 cavy z24 Dd , the question I have is that on number 1and 2 no noise and it barely works and on number 3 and 4 works good but I get this weird noise that sounds like a piece of plastic hitting the inside of the fan ,it almost reminds u of the sound when u put a can in the back of a bicycle and ride around like that but not as loud...

seems exactly the same except your extra noise which you will undoubtedly find the cause of when you drop the fan out..just had to do mine a month ago ...that back screw is indeed a PITA and the advice given to remove the seat was a huge help.The noise could be any number of things tho from possibly a piece of your resistor to your blower motor going/gone but dropping the fan out is the easy part and i almost wanna say you will be able to see the resistor and if like mine its failure was very evident just by looking at it.
I would almost put money on the guy who said *hey lets put the resistor on the backside where it will be the hardest to get to* is the same guy who said lets put the cupholders infront of the hvac control and the cig lighter infront of the keyswitch*

Lol yeah u got about those cupholders can also be a pita if u have a double din cd player and u get a drink at a fast food restaurant or even a 20 oz bottle for that matter but I guess I will see about that resistor and then go from their I will let ya kno sometime over the weekend how I make out...

...Any update?...prolly cant type after having to hold your arm like that for so long to get that back screw out and in again heh? saw a post also where someone said stuff can get to the fan thru/behind the glovebox i think as well...if there is still a noise..

Yeah I was gonna get to it but got caught up doin things to both my js but I am gonna shoot for this coming weekend hopefully....
