Replacing crankshaft in a 2.4?

My question is.... can I replace it without pulling the engine out? Granted I will have the transmission out though...

Forgot to mention... pretty sure I spun a bearing. Do you think the crank WILL need replaced or am i getting ahead of myself?

You're going to have to pull the engine. It will be easier. Most likely the crank can just be reground and you can use oversize bearings. It's a pretty rare case you would need a new crank.

If you would take the time to drop the transmission, might as pull the engine. Me personally, I would leave the trans in the car and pull the engine.
