Just read through a whole bunch of threads talking about the same problem for the LD9s. I'm having a similar issue with my 01, 2200 (5-spd). When the engine is warm and ONLY when I'm in heavy traffic, it'll start idling higher (about 1800rpm max) when I push the clutch in. Traffic defined as being stuck in first gear and inching forward frequently, barely even letting the clutch completely out each time I move. It will do it until I get a chance to drive at a constant speed higher than 25mph. It's strange to me that it will only do this when I'm in heavy traffic and also not do it every time, probably more like 50/50. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance guys

Since it only does it when your sitting in traffic it might be normal. When the engine gets to about 220 or so, the fan switch will be activated by the computer and the computer will speed the idle up. Your AC will do it too, as your clutch kicks on and off the computer will speed up and slow down your idle. Also, it just takes one switch to be going bad, (cooling sensor, Fan switch, and so on) to mess your idle up.
All good points. But I'd find an idle of almost 2,000 to be a little high under any normal circumstance when the engine is warm. I don't have AC, so that's out. But perhaps there is a bad sensor somewhere. Guess I'll have to do trial and error on some of those.

sounds like a possible iac issue, throttle body issue or skewed throttle positon sensor readings. Any way to view live datastream data? Do you have access to a scan tool? Any DTC's set?
