Hi,just wanting to know what kind of MPG,s you guys are getting out of those 2.4
I think mine is burning too much fuel, been getting 280 miles to the tank, 80% highway miles,
NO A/C, between 65 to 80 MPH highway speeds, using 50% off trips on cruise control ...its complicated to use cruise on trafic
Tires at 38 PS I,sintetic oil,fresh trans oil,fuel filter,sparks,air filter,
Its a 1999 2.4 cavalier z24 automatic

I am getting around 31.56 mpg on my cavy, but I am not a 2.4 AND I am not an automatic.... so my numbers are irrelevant. You should be in the ballpark of 25mpg if I had to guess, but seems like your in the high teens... I use to have an automatic, but I honestly can't remember what I use to get MPG wise.

i averaged about 24mpg on a tank. usually in the 380 mile range before fill ups. Of course i am 5 speed and that was before the supercharger. We will just say that my mileage now is.... much less... lol

my 99 2.4 (manual though) gets 24 at the lowest.. usually 26-28.. most recently got 29 after changing my fuel filter. made a big difference i think, cause i wasn't driving it very nice really..

im getting 19-21 average with a lead foot and alot of street racing! LOL on the highway it gets around 32 but in town it gets around 19 or so! (1996 z24 auto trans)

01 z24, 263K. new fuel pump, always kept tuned and all. 31-35mpg. most highway and little aroudn town
