03 cav standard having a starting issue when key is turned sometimes no dash lights or anything or either hard to turn over battery struggles even when fully charged .. Any ideas?? I'm thinking a clutch positioning sensor of done sort or a timing issue

I would suggest having your battery tested to make sure it is charging properly. Also check the wire running from your battery to the fuse box to make sure that it is connected all the way, it can cause that type of issue.

try the "fusible links", the wire from alternator to battery, starter to battery, ground to engine, ground to battery. Also cant hurt to add the big 3 in the mix., i do it to all my vehicles.

well if its struggling then its gotta be high resistance bad connection in a cable somewhere, at the body or engine, or at starter or at battry

i would check clean tighten all connections

whats voltage reading of the battery

needs to be at least 12 something up to around 13.8

if it turns over at all then its not the clutch safety switch etc
