i have a 95 cavalier 4 door 2.2 auto, i have replaced the coilpacks,plugwires,plugs,brand new radiator,crank sensor,fuel filter,head gasket,two new valves and other stuff.
the car was running perfectly fine, well the little nipple for the overflow on the radiator was broke so i went ahead and replaced the radiator and the thermostat, well ever since then when the motor is warm the motor will start to shake and feel like its missing,i pulled each plug wire off one by one and the miss gets worse all four plugs are firing,it smells like gas.
sometimes if the motor is cold it will start easy and will idle into the operating temp and be ok, but if you go down the road generally a 15 minute drive it seems to want to start that miss, even if your in neutral or park it will do it.
if you try to start it when the motor is warm it will crank and crank and you have to give it different amount of throttle to find the spot it will start with, and generally when it starts that miss it starts blowing white smoke out the exhaust.
i think it could be the coolant temp sensor but i dont know, because the temp gauge needle fluctuates in the white zone a pretty good amount but im not for sure, any help would be appreciated!
Shaking to me sounds like a misaligned or broken radiator fan.
Not sure about the rest.
the whole motor shakes like its missing but when you pull each plug wire off each plug the miss gets worse so all four plugs are firing i just dont know what is causing it to shake and idle so rough.
try a new iac valve, also do you have anything on your car besides bolt on's because your car might just need a tune. also shaking could possibly be a motor mount as well good luck with it man some problems are impossible to find and will break your bank
