Is your fuel system is clean, and change fuel filters every year?

i just changed my fuel filter not that long ago, like 4 months. but when i turn the key to the start position the starter does not even click. i replaces the ignition switch twice and the starter one time. it is still doing this

Did you replace the solenoid too?
It could be the relay then, if nothing clicks and cranks.

i bought a whole new starter so yea the solenoid is new and where is the relay located. will it throw a check engine light if the relay is bad. also where can i get one at the local car quest or do i have to get it from a dealership. thanks

No. I think the bad relay will not affect the engine light.

Not sure about where your relay is, if you can post a picture of under the hood we can tell you.
I have the base model '97 with 2.2, but probably similar. Mine is under the hood, there is a long square plastic box that holds a
few relays and huge fuses.

The auto parts stores should carry the relays.
