Long story short, while installing my Saab setup I had a bit break in the girdle while tapping for old return. It got messed up so I bandaged it up as best as I could to finish out the year. Well now that the car is going down for the winter I'm contemplating replacing the girdle. Has anyone ever removed it while leaving the motor in the car and crank in place? This is what I would really like to do, but uncertain if its even possible. Advice?
I did mine when I built the engine. I think I am the only one that has successfully made a custom ARP full girdle kit. Remember that att 25 I think bolts are torque to yeild before you remove them!!!!
