Ive been seeing LOTS of cooling system questions and issues. I figured i would share this with people who do not know about it.
Cooling system funnel
Basically when filling your cooling system you attach this funnel with the right adapter to your resivoir and fill the funnel about halfway and run your car until you see no more air bubbles coming up the funnel. When its done you squeeze the upper radiator hose and insert the t handle stopper it comes with and remove the funnel then release the upper radiator hose. Besides a vacuum refiller this is the EASIEST way to refill your cooling system. Also you will need to drive the vehicle for a period of time to get the remaining bubbles out and check and fill your level accordingly. One more thing this funnel WILL overfill your tank so use a cheap turkey baster to remove the excess.
Best way to bleed youre cooling system. add 75% coolant and 25% water. Then take the resvivor cap off press the throttle peddle allow it to idle at 1,200 rpm for 10 mins at a time. Continue this process for 15-20 mins, You will see the temp gauge read overheat its not. Its just go air in the system. it will go back to normal reading in 20 mins. I did it this way when I flush my cooling system 2 months ago. Works like a charm.
75% coolant WILL cause corrosion in you cooling system. Also when bleeding your system out it should NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER display overheating on the gauge you will wreck things.

Well Ive done the 75% method for 13 yrs of driving, And mechanic hobby. Never had an issue. The corrosion problem accurs when the coolant has been over its length of time. As I listed above. The gauge reads hot cause of the air in the system once the cooling system is bled the reading is more accurate.
I was going to explain and such but i erased my explanation because its really not worth my time to argue with a brick wall.
I wouldnt put more than 50% coolant, personally. But since I am in California, I only use about 25% coolant, because water does cool faster than the coolant. I wouldnt let it overheat that bad when bleeding the system as well.
Ok. there isn't an argue. I am just stating. 75% I used cause of colder temps where I live. I am looking at freezing point on my own. You can add whatever amount needed. So take the 75% out. Use the amount desire on the back of the bottle directions on coolant. Note youre system doesn't over heat while bleeding the system if its done right. Just feel the upper and lower rad hose, The are mild warm, not boiling. Like I say i am not bashing anyone opinion. I am just sharing what Ive learned, And what works for me. Ive never had any troubles.
