Saturday, July 02, 2011 3:20 PM
Im gonna paint the valve or cam cover on my ecotec on my cavalier, but was wondering if there is a gasket that ill need to replace if I take it off and do it. I looked em up at autozone but has like the spark plug boot gaskets and all kinds of stuff. Can someone clarify this up for me please? Thanks!

It's recommended to replace it if you take off your valve cover.

like said before it can be reused as long as its not peeling off or leaking. Autozone has the Felpro one VS50596R $27.

I've reused mine numerous times and it's fine. And if at some point you need a new one, I think RockAuto has the best price.
