Ive put in a switch to turn on my radiator fan, the switch has 3 wires to it. One T'd to the power wire to the fan, one directly from the battery, and one ground for the light on the switch. Randomly i will look over and see the light on(even when it's in the off position). When this happens, a CEL pops up, it lasts for a few minutes then when the switch light goes out, the CEL disapears so i never have a chance to scan the code.
Any Ideas? Bad switch ground?
Remove what you did. Read the main library on the left column. Do the cooling fan overide using the provided instructions. Good luck.

First you do not even know what the code is for, so you do not know that it is related to this mod.
Secondly do the fan switch the right way.

ill do the switch the right way soon, but the switch lights up and the CEL come on and go off at the same time so im figuring theyre related...i only have an obd2 scanner so i cant even check the code
You're commanding the fan on when the PCM hasn't... so it freaks out. That's why we don't do it that way...
