i have a leak that i think is coming from the sunroof. the drivers side floor is soaked and i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem. i was told to check the tubing that runs from the sunroof down the a pillar but not sure how to get to it. any help would be appreciated.

Ive never had experience with sun roofs before BUT IIRC those tubes actually run inside ur car down the front pillar and to the floor to take water out from the roof area and onto the ground. In order to work on it you have to pull down the header panel, and A pillar covers as well as the back seat side panels to get the headliner off. Then, I think, You should be able to see those tubes. If ur sunroof isnt leaking tho, I would check the door seals on the drivers side. Best way to tell is take the car to a high pressure car wash, and while inside it, keep a eye out, if its coming from the roof or door, you should be able to find it, or at least point u in a direction. Usually I have heard of those tubes breaking or clogging with crap and causing floor boards to be soaked. Goodluck!

You need to pull down the headliner to expose the tubes themselves. Then just shoot some compressed air into the tube. If it has an obstruction, then it should exit the vehicle and open up the drain. If not, it could be a leaky door gasket, leaky gromet in the fire wall, or a leaky windshield. Direct a garden hose directly at the fire wall from outside and let it flow. Don't use any attahment on the hose, just an open hose end and let it flow. While the water is flowing, climb into the car with a flashlight and meticulously inspect every spot on the firewall where a hose, cable, bolt, or bracket attaches or passes through. If you can't find any leaks on the fire wall, spray a soapy solution around the perimeter of your windshield on the outside with a spray bottle. Then have someone watch from the outside as you spray compressed air from a compressor, not a can, around the windshield seal from the inside. If the soap begins to foam worse than it is, you have a leak. Then you need to peel back the moulding on the outside and find the leak. I recommend leaving this up to a professional glass guy as the windshields on the j body is encapsulated and very expensive to replace if you should dick something up. You should also check your door jamb and seal to make sure nothing is passing through like a power wire for your sound system or anything like that, and that the integrity of the seal has not been compromised. If it has, remove the wire or uncompromise the integrity of the seal and water test.
