map sensor question

Very weird thing today. So I have a odd bucking problem at cruise just happens once every trip. Happened before i tuned and before my injectors. So I got a new map sensor from advance and problem went away. Now its back but not as bad so I figured map again. Very weird. That's not my question tho. My thing is I went to Oreliey's and picked up a new map sensor. Well they didn't have one for a 02 but they did for the 03-05 Wtf. I thought they were all the same on the ecotecs. Someone enlighten me on why it would be different? The one I bought wouldn't even fit on my LE5 intake manifold.

Hello,

Must have been a design change. I've seen many cases working at dealerships where they would change a part # half way through the year.

Example, if a 2007 vehicle was built before August 15, 2007 it needs this window regulator, if after August 15 it needs a new updated one

Best bet is to buy sensors from GM anyways

Yeah I know that man I work at a Toyota plant I see it every once in a while. But why would it not fit the LE5 manifold? I purchased the manifold from my friend who has a 05 and had zero issues with his stock map this one they tried to sale me Was more like the baro sensor on a cobalt. There web site lists the same part for a 02-05 ecos Wtf
