On my Z I put a 2.3 HO pulley on a while back and the belt I put on seemed like a good fit and I couldnt get the next size down to fit. It would squeal really bad sometimes and then be fine, squeal, be fine, etc. Then one day i noticed a constant whine coming from the belt...I would say just short of a squeal, just barely noticeable in the car while driving but noticeable enough to be annoying. So it would whine, squeal, whine, squeal. I decided to give the smaller belt another go and with the help of a friend and lots of elbow grease we got it on. The squealing stopped but now the whine is still there. If I spray some belt dressing on it stops for a minute and starts right back up.
Does any one have any suggestions?
Are you sure its not the tensioner?

I was wondering that and was curious if anyone would suggest it.
auto tensionerrs can have good tension when stopped engine but when putting load on it, it will give slack, maybe tensioner? belt dressing is disgusttinggggg ew, try starter fluid, it will go away, get louder, spray alot, it will splash off and dirt will come with it cleaning the pulleys, starter fluid also dries up any fluids on the pulleys such as oil or dressing, let it idle for a while and see if the noise goes away after like 10-15 min idle

Ok i will give this a try, Thanks
I just noticed the crank pulley looks like it has a slight wobble. Could this cause it?
