I have excellant heat out of the vents, very little heat on the floor (don't really care), but the defrosters are what is bugging me. It blows weak on the drivers side and none on the drivers side. The car has new radiator hoses (all) new t-stat, and new blower motor. I have also replace the vacuum lines under the hood as I had no heat when I got the car. I have heard it might be the blend air door, but I have no idea where it is or what is involved in fixing/changing it out. This will be my winter daily driver and need to address this quickly as outside temps are dropping rapidly. The car is a 1993 chevy cavalier 2.2 A3. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How old is the Heater core?. Also could have a leak in the ducting work in the vent system. Or your' Heat vent selector could be binding up. So only small amount of heat is beening allow to go through the certain vent selection.
Hope that idea help?.
Found out today it is the heater core. Anyone know how to change this?

gotta rip everything out up to the fire wall. no easy way around it.
I got the heater core in last night. Not hard at all. I had to drop the glovebox and take the center console out. About an hour and a half job.

Well I have replaced the heater core, climate control box, coolant hoses, t-stat, and several broken vacuum lines. I have no heat (nothing blowing out of the vents at all) and I have no clue what else it could be. Any help is appreciated cause I'm loosing my mind over this. The blower motor runs and it has been verified it is turning in the correct rotation.

You have no air out of any vent?
Thats correct. Just a bit of trickle heat. I have checked defrosters, vents, and floor. I get nothing.

Four things come to mind.
1. Blower motor. You said thats been checked so moving on.
2. Blower resistor. Cheap fix, kinda a PITA to get to but can be done, you will need to remove the blower to get to it. Just two screws. Have you taken a test light to the connector of the blower to see if there is even power there. If not then that brings me to the next part.
3. Blower Motor Relay. With someone in the car, have them turn on and off the system. Do you hear the relay click?? Yes, then the relay is good, if not, then swap the relay with one next to it (fuel pump relay is the same thing) and see if it clicks, if it does do you hear the blower kick in? If so, boom your done, get new relay install and fixed. If not, then it brings me to the next part. Also if you do hear the relay click, then you have a wiring problem and will need to figure it out with testing, where the problem is at and fix accordingly.
4. Blower Switch. Yes the one on the HVAC control unit. That could be bad. You need a test light to see if your getting power to the relay, if not, then your switch can be bad, but you will need to check to see if you have power at the switch. It also could be a blown fuse. So basically get a repair manual, and do some tests. It can be any one of those 4 things I mentioned. Because if its not, then its a wiring issue. Goodluck!
I will spend tomoorow going through that list. Thanks.
