I need a dyagnosis before I get into this problem.

Have a 2005 Cav 2.2 Eco base model. Has been giving us no problems. Wife got home from work with the car - about an hour layer I went out to drive it - would turn over but would just stop running - like it was getting no fuel - pushed the car down the driveway and out into the street and it started right up - took a look at the wiring - checked the relay etc. - did not see anything unusual - sound like a fuel filter issue?? or should I change out the relay.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Relay or fuel pump. The parents expedition was doing this for a week before the fuel pump died. It would sporadically work. Then it just died completely and wouldn't start period.

Thanks Nick - will check relay - car started today but noticed I smelled fuel??

Would I be smelling fuel if this were a pump problem, or should I check anything else.

Fuel pump. Mine did the same thing.
