Car starts right up but it revs up to about 2500RPM, comes down to about 1500, floats around between 1500-1300RPM. Code came back Throttle position sensor error, sensor changed high RPM @ start remains an issue. Also to note that when i put the car in drive it jumps a bit causing a hard shift between park and drive. Any suggestions, I'm thinking possible loose connection somewhere, but not quite sure where to start.

u should check ur MAP sensor
I had that problem before and it was a cracked vacume hose to the map sensor, I had the same problem with my brake booster hose one time.
I would say you have a vacume leak somewhere, some times you can faintly hear a hissing sound at idle with the hood open. The best thing is to get a vacume test then you can eliminate that factor before you throw money at it.
thanks guys, will check the MAP sensor and vaccume hose to the MAP.

Werent there IAT's in these? Not MAP's?
probably not it, but one time i went from it idling at around 2000 rpm to it idling at 700 and no response from the pedal. , turns out my throttle cable jumped off the spool.
