97 Cavy Water pump issue

Ok so its a 2.2L OHV.
The waterpump is leaking from the area behind the pully, onto the belt and down below, Well here is the real problem, I attempt to losen(break) the 3 bolts on the pully, before taking of the serpentine belt so it should hold the pully in place, however since the leaking coolant is lubercating the belt/pully it slides and i cant losen the bolts.

I drained all the coolant out of the system and keep wiping the belt and pully, in hopes it will dry or something so I can get it off.

If anyone has any tips let me know.

Times like this its good to have a old belt, what I do is put a old belt around the pully and use vise grips to hold the belt tight around the pulley if that makes sence. Then just hold the vise grips and take your bolts out. Hope this helps

or, use a long screwdriver, between two bolts. loosen the one you're not using, then make 1/3 turn, repeat till all are loose.
