Ive got a little issue, I got 01 cavalier 2.2L 4 spd auto. Whats happening, This just started my cavaalier has been well maintained, cooling system has been flushed, blah...blah. It been around 3 months since its been done, Ive just noticed this, while my car was warming up in the morning or at idling, Then cooling fan will kick on when the temp gets hot. Temp is reading normal temp reading the gauge. The fan stays on for a long period of time. Doesn't shut off. @ times. Then when I turn the car off, first it back up the fan is off. It makes me think the ECT sensor on the coolant tube on the passanger side is not working properly?. Ive got no check engine lights on. Just curious if any has any input?.
