ok my check engine light is on and the only thing i hear is a weird thonk suction noise... everything is fine cept that it could be the throttle body or the intake but im not sure...
is your IAT sensor in right?
Sounds like a vacuum leak
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new
i stoped the noise it was a clog of gunk in the one hose that is hooked up to the intake but the check engine light is still on... i eliminated the noise though
unhook your battery for awhile and see if it clears the ligh..
tried that when i fixed the gunk... idk i have no time to do anything to see if its my head gasket or not im close to the 75k since it turned into a family car...
2200 or LD9? I know on the 2200/2.2L the PCV runs directly into the intake hose from the head.
if the check engine light is on take to autozone or similar..most places these days do free code scans for you becuase they know if your do it yourself instead of a shop your gonna need to buy all the parts to fix it somewhere..
