i gotta 99 2.2, and it seems the upper rad hose closes up, or pinches off. i open the resv. and the hose goes to normal, but the tank seems to fill and over flow a little. any ideas?

Possibly need new upper rad hose sounds like it is colapsing. Also how long has it been since youre coolant system has been Serviced, example: flushed / New thermostat / coolant.
my thoughts too... its been 6 yrs ive had the car... never done any of it. i know i should!! wiht 2 jobs and schooling, its soo hard to fit in....
