I was changing my front brake pads today and, on one caliper, the lower bolt was stuck. I mean i really tried unscrewing it hard but it felt like the bolt was going to break. I even tried a torque bar and the whole thing would flex a little but not turn so it got me really scared that it would break if i tried too hard.
What should i do?
PB Blaster and stop pussy footing around.

Dude i'm serious, if the bolt breaks i don't even know what i'm gonna do.
Try an air wrench. Also, make sure you're turning it the right way.
yea i tried the air wrench too :S

Drill it out and put a Heli-coil in it. Or just grab another spindle from the junkyard.

Or heat it with a torch, but be careful of the brake lines.

Sometimes bolts get rusted inside the thread and after ur normal tries it fails.I would use yeah pb or liquid wrench(my favorite) and let it sit over nite.Using a propane torch the portable type heat it a little and tap it with a hammer lightly(I do mean this).Try to remove it and if it is still stuck umm.I also have used a product called freeze off made by CRC and sold at advance, auto zone, etc and works pretty good.Liquid wrench has worked the best over all and u may want to try using a combination wrench and tap it with a hammer after it has soaked versus the air tool first based on exper. That' my recommendation and have had problems last yr went I did my intake manifold one stud would not come out (I just wanted to remove it as precaution) to put antiseize on it like the others which came out fine with a socket (has the octagon head on the stud) used liquid wrench and heated it up with my hand held propane torch and it finely came out no problems.Granted this was not necess but with a 22 yr old car I am not taking chances with broken studs and this worked great.Hope my share helps u with ur problem.
Heat with a Torch
Be careful of any rubber lines and such
Won't take much and it will easily break free
