Ok so to explain the title a little further
i have a 2000 cavalier with the 2.2 and its in horribad condition im about at 1/2 psi in the block and takes me aout 13seconds to get to 60 yea its bad i've done a lot to "help" it out such as cold air intake well... to be honest thats it... weird thought i added more meanwhile back on topic i bought this car about 1 year ago and decided to make it into a speedy race car!
ok so heres the question should i rip apart the block and replace the piston rings, valves, bigger cam, ect ect or buy an ecotec 2.2 and build it up *may take a while pockets arnt really full if you catch my drift*
now with you wanting to throw me your opinion on how i should jump on the ecotec, remember its a 2000 and they didnt start putting the ecotec into cav's till about 02? <-was informed by a friend so that might be wrong. wil the ecotec 2.2 be able to fit/run if i remap ECU, and what else would i need to replace?
the car is not boosted yet but will be also need help in that area
you guys make me feel like a noob
Thanks for the help
Josh
i love all the F&F semi quotes hahaha
pockets aint empty bra lol
also just swap the eco and search the swap has been convered hundreds of times and is not hard
Thanks
hard to find a good eco i dont want to buy one online because you never know what your going to get all the ones around here want 800-1500 used
fail
engine is rocking real bad, could it be the pressure loss or bad mount? if its bad mounts should and i choose to replace them will that mount fit the ecotec
mounts probably.
just go to ttr.
