Been having some wiper problems on my 03 cavalier for a while now...Put some new blades on but that did not resolve the issue.
Problem 1: When I turn my wipers on, on the lowest speed it goes up pauses and shutters back and forth (also causes vibration) before resuming to the start position. Works fine on the higher speeds. Don’t know what is causing this please help.
Problem 2: Rarely when I push downward on the on the wiper control (pushing down to get 1 wipe on the wind-screen) the wipers makes 3 wipes before stopping. What can be causing this?

You've got wiper motor issues.
Most likely repair is a new or used wiper motor.
Few are the people with the skills to open a wiper motor, diagnose the problem and repair it.
Let us know what you end up doing.
Your wiper could go for years working on hi speed ok or.......... it could totally die in tomorrows rain storm, tough to predict.

Called up the dealership to check on the price of a new wiper motor.....$265 (dam!!!!!) Know anywhere I can find it cheeper?
Check ebay, and your local junkyard.
