PF52 Oil Filter on 2200?
Sunday, February 22, 2009 8:54 PM
I am going to change my oil tomorrow, and I was checking out the ACDelco filters that there were on the shelves. The 2200 is supposed to run the PF47. the PF52, is the same size and has the same threads. It is just deeper (about 2x in height).

I assume without a doubt that it will screw on fine. I am just curious if anyone else is running the larger filter?

I know with my mods right now (and probably in the future) I wont really need the extra oil capacity, but for the same price (good ol' wal-mart) I can have the larger filter.

i run the purolator PureONE filters (the gold box), and that number is a pl10111, with the pl24011 being the longer filter. fits fine, no issues.this is on the older 2.2 with a 5 speed.

Rich Grayo just gave you a correct answer, and the PF52 by AC Delco is another good choice.
