throwing 2 codes one is 404 which is egr no prob..other is 440 evap system malfunction what do I need to fix this one
that 440 is probaly because your gas cap aint on all the way.

acually gas cap tight but the seal is dry rotted and cracked going to but a new cap and rescan codes
will a p0442 be caused by a gas cap as well?

442 is small leak..gas cap 10.00 cheapest thing first to try
