98 Cavalier acting weird

Hey There! New to the site and I was hoping I could get a little advice on a problem my 98 Cavalier, 2.4 auto has been having. Most recently it has had an erratic idle and putters out of the exhaust at low rpm. I put on a new fuel filter yesterday thinking it may be due to low fuel pressure; not allowing the fuel to spray out of the injector and mix efficiently with the intake air. I still need to take it on a long run, but so far it hasn't improved much.

This all started a few weeks ago after I replaced the oil separator. The intake had to come off get at it. At the same time I replaced the crank position sensor because of ongoing issues the car has had. At low rpm's, especially on very cold or wet days, the engine would miss heavily, but not constantly. It would run fine at a stop light and suddenly jerk around like there was a dead cylinder. Then run fine and out of nowhere do it again. The last two winters it has blown both coil packs and the modulator... all on rainy days. Replacing the crank position sensor did stop the intermittent missing problem, but as I mentioned before, now has an erratic idle. I put a new intake manifold gasket when the engine was reassembled.

If it's a spark issue, I am probably going to do the LN2 swap I have been reading about on here. I am also wondering if maybe the injectors are screwed, and that's why it acts this way at low rpm's.

Any insight is appreciated.
