Help! I need some advice. I have replaced the IAC the MAP and the Throttle position sensor. And the Idle still will not go down. If I take the Throttle position switch loose the motor does go down. I clear the codes and restart the car and the idle goes back up. Any ideas????
Thanks, JB

Hi, Welcome to the ORG! Ignore the A-holes.

This will probably get moved to Maintenance by the way.

Try this to fix your car. Unplug the TPS sensor. When the idle drops down, shut the car off. Disconnect the battery and let it sit for a while. An hour or so should be fine. Reconnect the sensor and battery and start her up. It may idle a bit high at first but that's just the computer relearning things. It should be fine after that. If it doesn't work, try it again, but this time, let it sit overnight if possible.

My car did the same exact thing and myself and others have "fixed" it this way. Good luck!

Hey! Thanks alot. I let it set for 2 hours and then hooked everything back up and she is back to normal.
It has been a great car and this was my first real issue with her. By the way it is a white convertible and it is all original.

Thanks again, JB
