clunk noise

every once in a while ill get a clunk from the pass side motor mount, occasionally while driving normally even sometimes just hitting a bump and when going from park to reverse or drive. my mechanic wants to get a new mount($125), as he himself cant get the bushing, what i am not sure of is if the mount thats bad or the bushing inside the mount thats bad. would getting the prothane/rk sport bushing cure this problem, i am able to rock the motor back and forth with my hand maybe a 1/2 inch if that helps any. so what do you guys think? will the bushing be the end to the problem or do i need a new mount?

Buy a set of RKsport or TurboTechRacing engine mounts. You'll fix the problem and gain alittle performance.

I'm having the same problem, what would labor cost on this job?

labor shouldn't be too much probably about an hour to do, im just lazy to fix it myself, i was thinking of the ttr mount, i will get it if it needs a new mount. does the prothane /rk bushing replace the oem bushing in the mount currently or are they used together? if they're used in conjunction with each other then im just going to buy the ttr mount. dont mind paying $4 more +s/h and border fees to get something better than stock. what are the vibrations like with the ttr mount?

Change the mount out yourself... The TTR one comes with color instructions, takes about 10 minutes. The RK Sport does not come with instructions...

Either way let us know if you have any questions (PM us)

What do you need to change the mount out? Doesnt the motor have to be lifted?
