Gas pedal and Exhaust problems

I have an automatic 04 Cavy and my setup includes E3 spark plugs, WR Dragon Intake, PaceSetter headers and cat-back exhaust.
When I'm driving, the gas pedal can be pressed down to a certain extent and then it gets stiff. I have to add more pressure to get it past that certain mark and it has a lot of resistance to it. Also, when I idle, sometimes the exhaust will start to rattle towards the back of my car and make a really loud and annoying noise. It's embarrassing when I'm sitting at a light and all of a sudden you hear that loud banging coming from under the car. I have to throw it into neutral and give it some gas for the noise to stop until I start moving again. Please help, both these problems are ticking me off.

Your exhaust could be the cat going out. I know in my dad's C1500, the chunks in the cat would rattle pretty bad in park or whenever he stopped but it was fine when he got going. Once we knocked the chunks out, it was quiet as could be. Don't quote me on this but that could be why the pedal has resistance since there's a restriction in the exhaust.

It couldn't hurt to take it out and look but also check your exhaust hangers to see if one's come loose while you're under there.

look for a kink/bend in your throttle cable. as for the exhaust, i'd lean heavily toward something hitting the heat shield. i know when my exhaust was first put on my car, they routed it too close to the rear axle, and at idle it would hit it and rattle.

The cat is only 2 months old which is why i doubt that could be it, but I'm still going to take a look.
