So I went to go to work this morning and started the car and she started shaking violently. So I turned her off, started again, same thing, and I gave her some gas and she shook more.
I did manage to back her up out of the driveway for the other car, she seemd to move slowly fine. I had to get a ride to work.
I just got in and decided to try and start her up. She started the same way, and then it seemed to clear up as I hit the gas and she didnt shake. SO I put her back in the driveway, shut her off, tried to start again, and now she wont start at all.
I can feel her shaking when I try to start her.
NOW, I replaced one coil pack, the one on the outsdie, closest to the front of the car about 3 months ago.
I'm wondering is there a way to figure out if the other coil pack has gone bad ?
I figured out the other one was bad becuase I managed to get the car running while she was shaking and popped off one of the spark plugs and she kept running the same way.
But now, I can't get her to start at all.
Anyway to figure out if its one of the coil packs without having her running ?
Oh, and to add to that, the Engine light has been on for months. I assumed it was a oxygen sensor or something because the car ran fine.
Ok, i Just went out and tried to start her again, wouldnt go.
So I stepped on the gas, and she started. I let her run for a bit, shut her off, and she still wont start.
So I start her again, and put the gas pedal to the floor and she starts.
I did this a few times, and now she seems to start normally.
Weird.....It sounds like a fuel issue.
yeah, the problem with a fuel issue is, to get the pump pressure tested, you have to get it to a shop... Pretty cheap thing to get tested, but a tow bill is where they will stick it to ya! Good luck. I would not reccomedn taking off your injectors, they are a b!tch to get back on, and you run a high risk of @#$%ing up the o-rings on the injectors. You could take off one side of your fuel filter and have a look. The other side with the quick disconnect is too big of a pain to get off! Haha, I know this from experience!
