I have a 96 Z 5 spd. I am having a very weird problem with my car. It drives fine if it is cold and has sat over night and I just start it up. But once it warms up it runs horrible. It takes about 5 mins for it to start happening
Here what it does: When at a stop light and idling. It bounces up and down between about 650 rpms and 1000rpms, almost wants to die. Then if I am coming up to a stop light and push in the clutch, the rpms shoot up and bounce between 2000 rpms and 3000 rpms and then very slowly drop back down to 1000 rpms if I sit at idle for a second.
I have put a brand new ICM, Throttle position sensor, and Idle air control valve in it and none of those helped at all. Spark plugs are only about 300 miles old and were gapped to spec. If it was a vacuum leak I would think it would do it all the time. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the coils overheating but I dont know why that would make my rpms so crazy.
I have a video of it doing the high rpms bouncing when coming up to a stop light i can post if someone thinks that would help in anyway. Thanks in advance guys
