i'm doing a 2.4 swap in my 99 sunfire. Any way i got a 2.4 and 5 speed tranny out of a 2000 cav. When it was in the car it set at an angle by the looks of it . Where the top mount was it looks to be closer to the fire wall and as you look towards the tranny it sets closer to the raidator.
Well i cut the mounts off the 2000 and welded them on the 99 where they were suppose to be. Measured three times. And it sets the same way in the sunfire. If you look at the braket that goes into the mount is looks crooked.
Did gm cock the motor or something because if you look where the down pip would be if the motor would be straight. It looks like the downpipe would run in to the bottom left side off the tunnel that is for the exhuast to run in.
The only thing i can think of if its not that is that the top mount bracket that bolts to the engine is bent. If its not suppose to be that way. Thanks for any help
I have some pics but not sure if you can tell i will post them up in a few. I seen another cav on here that looked the same way. Like the black air box on top of the throttle body gets closer to the radiator the closer you go to the tranny.
